As a young writer trying to attract professional interest, reading the above ought to make me feel, well, jolly rotten. And it does, until I remind myself that we all (with luck and perseverance) have our time in the sun and - thinking pragmatically - we also won't be around to see whether our legacy long survives us. <br /><br />If only as a brief flicker of nostalgia, Jefferson lives on. <br />Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
