ReplyDeleteI don't know if this is the right place to ask.
ReplyDeleteWill be other books of yours outside prince of thorns translated in romanian?
I read Jors's trilogy in english but i'd like to have them in my native language.
You would have to ask Editura Trei. I know that they offered for the rights to all three books and were accepted. Sometimes a foreign publisher decides not to spend money translating the next book in a series if not enough readers bought the first.
DeleteUpdate: Although Editura Trei have paid for the rights to King of Thorns (& are contracted to pay for the rights to Emperor of Thorns) they won't be publishing the books as sales of Prince of Thorns were too low.
DeleteThis is part of a vicious circle where publishers abandon series at book 1 because of low sales so readers refuse to buy series until all the books are published, so there are low sales (return to the beginning).
Since the trilogy has sold over a million copies world wide there is always the chance it will return to Romania at some point with a different publisher.
Wow that was quick. Thanks!
