Sleeping Beauty

Because I love you, and all that stuff, I've written a Jorg-based short story and you can read it on the Voyager site totally free, for nothing, without charge.

It's really a bit of fun, prompted by a challenge from one Ron C. Nieto (@RonCNieto) to warp the tale of Sleeping Beauty around that of young Jorg Ancrath. I may have thrown another fairy tale or two into the mix...

The story can be fitted in between the two threads in Emperor of Thorns (or indeed King of Thorns)... if you like.

  1. Man, I've missed your writing, August cannot come soon enough. It will be truly bittersweet to read the conclusion of your trilogy. Fingers crossed for record sales!

  2. You rock. Like, "the stuff amazing's made of" sort of rock :)

The story is amazing. I can see Jorg reacting just like that. As unknown said above, we've missed your writing!

I want August to come around too... but I also have this feeling that I'm going to get depressed over saying goodbye to one of the best literary cahracters ever.

    Thanks for sharing!

  4. You, Sir, are awesome. Thank you so much for this little (huge) gift. By the way, don't know is this has been asked/answered before, but after Emperor will you keep on writing? Not necessarily about Jorg or even in a fantasy setting, but I would absolutely love to keep reading stuff from you. You have such a unique authorial voice that I just can't find anywhere else, I would be really sad if you didn't keep on writing.

  7. I loved this story. So many threads were picked up from the first two novels. Does the story tie into the last book in anyway? Because of course I want to know what happens after he goes to search for Katherine. Can't wait till August.

  8. from a strategic point of view (im morbidly obese) i believe they should stop trying to get us to exercise and look in to the next stage of obesity evolution... that shining goal we have been trying to reach for so long and have been droping hints (a symptom of obesity is lathergy) HYBERNATION!!! i mean we stuff ourselvs then sleep till the next Mark Lawrence book, then stuff our faces readind it and sleep for His next book
