Leading causes of fantasy deaths.

Inspired by this real world infographic:


I decided to have a crack at populating it with leading causes of death in fantasy books/films.

This is my work in progress. Any suggestions to improve it?

  4. I have seen sabotage several times (saddle strap cut, that sort of thing).
    Traps is a pretty common cause in RPGs but that might fall under blades, poison, etc.
    GRRM should be higher :)

  5. By volume, I'm pretty sure redshirt-ism should be one of the largest bubbles.

  6. A common cause of death on the Discworld is The Luggage. Killed a few dozen people over the books, if I'm not mistaken, and also eliminated many rare (now extinct) creatures.

    1. That's definitely true for the first couple DW novels, though I would also classify it as suicide for those who thought they were going to steal Twoflower's gold.
