Many thanks for all the excellent entries. Your enthusiasm is always appreciated.

Contest time. I have too many books and need to give away some signed copies of The Wheel of Osheim and/or The Liar's Key.

Rules:

i) Send a photo (close up optional) of you holding in one hand an unsupported tower of books ordered alphabetically by author. SFF books preferred.

ii) No more than one book per letter.

iii) Include a list of titles and authors on a single line so I can cut & paste it to include with the entry.

iv) email entries to me at empire_of_thorns@yahoo.co.uk

I will send out one copy to a randomly selected entry, one to the "best" photo, and one to the legitimate entry with most books.

  1. Thought I might get lost on Facebook so I'll ask here too. Can we do alphabet in descending order, or must it be ascending? Cheers.

  2. Rookie mistake? I theorize that it was a subconscious decision to be a learning tool for others to follow. Or you could play a seek and find game for the 4 Lawrence titles visible in the background.

  3. Endza should get the "best" one - I'm a sucker for costumes!

  4. I think #17 is quite handsome and judging by his book collection is quite the bibliophile, and also he seemed to put some effort into finding very thick and heavy books and if Mum sees this, thanks the Chewbacca shirt does fit, you just can't see it very well because of my other shirt and the tall stack of books, and also I heard that #17 cares for sick refugee puppies that have had limbs amputated and then imprisoned for political reasons despite international protests and some of these puppies are very cute and there's this one puppy that can fall over when you pretend to shoot him it's adorable, so there I was just sitting in the refugee amputee political prison hospital when this puppy looks up at me and starts to whimper and i whisper to him what's wrong boy, and you know what, I can't tell the rest of this story because it's too emotional, so I'm going to go for a walk and pick daisies and visit the war pensioners retirement home and listen to their stories while I bake them bran and blueberry muffins.
